Saatchi Lab interview
I was so nervous. It was quite rush as we had to go to sch, print our stuff, arrange our port folios before going to the interview. I was super worried that instead of me, Rinn would get the job. From what i see so far, i think that Rinn's work is better than mine. So i we were late. Isn't that really bad to turn up late for an interview but the boss doesn't seem to realise it cos he was really busy to care about small details.

So stupid of me, i took along the A1 size story board. My bags are so heavy and i can feel my shoulders are breaking soon.

During the interview, frankly speaking, i felt that he turned the pages of my port folio really fast. I wanted to explain the ideas n concepts but he really flipped too fast for me to catch up so i decided to just keep quiet till he ask me questions. From my observations, he started to slow down his speed when he reached the advertising section. Then to the illustration section, he stopped on the page where i pasted my character design. He asked what software did i use to make this. After all, he said that was the best. That work was the least expected that ppl will say gd things abt it. " ok lah, i think ur work got some standard, got some concept.." I remember this sentence. He was not very pleased when he saw more graphic works than advertising and he actually said that this place wouldn't do such complicated things, am i sure to come here?

He also asked alot of personal or some "IF" questions... like how would u do IF... After rinn came out, we started discussing what he prompted us. Some questions are the same but i felt that he asked me more "IF" questions than rinn. After discussing among the 2 of us, both of us felt tt...maybe this big company isn't suitable for us. We wouldn't feel sad if we weren't chosen. Although the interview sounds scary but actually i felt that the boss is really a nice person, he commented on my work and gave me advices on how to improve it although this is only an interview. I think i will be able to improve and learn lots of things from him. On the same night, Arlene asked me if the interview went well. After chatting with her on the phone, it makes me feel better and given a different view of Saatchi. I start to get interested in them again.

The next day, while i was buying materials for my booth, the boss called me.. So i was given a chance, 1 mth try out to see my performance. I will start work this coming thurs. That was too fast! But i couldn't reject him right. I thought that maybe i could rest for 2 weeks before working because...working will be lifetime...daily routine. Hai.. just hope that i can get this job can continue it.
